Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam invites applications from students belonging to 2nd year, 3rd year or 4th year of institutes such as IITs/NITs/IIITs/IISERs and reputed institutes of India. The internship program will be availed for 30 to 45 days in the month of May, June, and July 2018.

Research Topics:
IIITK summer internships will be focused on the current research topics relevant to the following research domains:

i) Internet of Things and Cloud Technology

ii) Edge computing

iii) High Performance Computing

iv) Social Analytics

v) Big Data Analytics

vi) Machine Learning

vii) Artificial Intelligence

viii) Energy aware computing

ix) Cloud microservices

x) Societal application developments

Selection Process:
The selection of the internship will be dependent on the research interests, research plan, and the availability of slots. The selection of the internship was intimated via email to the concerned candidate on or before 20 April 2018.
Outcome of Internships: One will learn a few technologies relevant to the field of research. One will get a certificate of participation (or, a certificate of appreciation) based on the recommendation of the final review committee which will be constituted by the institute.


Fee Structure:
A nominal internship fee of Rs. 5000/- per month will be collected from the participants. One could stay at the institute hostel by paying Rs. 5000/- per month - (Food expenses will be additionally charged to the participants based on their request). The online portal for paying the internship fee will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates via website.


Terms and conditions:
i) Once shortlisted for the internship program, the students should pay the fee before joining the program. NOTE: The candidates will not be admitted to the program without paying the fees.

ii) The candidate should submit a 10 page report about their research findings (or implementation steps) to the concerned supervisor before availing their certificate.
