Every year UPSC conducts Indian Forest Service Exam to recruit Eligible candidates.

For your idea , here I am providing the information regarding the recent notification of UPSC

UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination:

Total No.of Vacancies: 85

Age Limit:
Applicants age limit should be 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 01-08-2014,

Educational Qualification:
Applicants must hold a Bachelors Degree with atleast one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics & Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering

Selection Process:
The competitive examination consists of two stages
Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) for the screening & selection of Applicants for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination & Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) for the screening & selection of candidates for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written Examination & Interview).

Important Dates:
Starting Date to Apply Online: 31-05-2014.
Last Date to Apply Online: 30-06-2014 by
Pay in Slip mode Deactivated on: 29-06-2014 .
Date of Preliminary Examination: 24-08-2014
Date of Main Examination will be held on: November, 2014

For IFS preliminary exam filling form date will be disclosed but main exam
The last for application is 21 no 2015 is present.

Indian Forest Service Preliminary exams had been revealed by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) .IFS exams which are going to conduct in August 2015 and November 2015.
IFS exam will be conduct in two Phase:
>IFS (Preliminary)
>IFS (Main)

Candidates should possess bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely, animal husbandry & veterinary science, botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, statistics and zoology or a bachelor’s degree in agriculture or forestry or engineering of a recognized university or equivalent.

Candidates who pursuing our degree can also eligible to appear.


Important Dates:
Last date of application submission is Friday, 12th June 2015.
The preliminary examination will held on Sunday, 23rd Aug 2015.
The main exam will held on the date of 21st Nov 2015.
Paper Pattern based on topics given below:

There will be 6 sections in all having 1400 marks.
Paper I: - General English: 300 Marks
Paper II: - General Knowledge: 300 Marks
Paper III, IV, V & VI: - Each subject will have two papers 200 Marks for each paper.
