UPSC conducts Indian Forest Services IFS Exam for recruitment to forestry services of India.

If you are applying for Indian Forests Service examination, then you are required to appear in the civil services (preliminary) examination and qualify the same for going to the second stage of Indian Forests Services main examination (written and interview).

IFS 2018 Important Dates

Date of Notification: 7 February, 2018
Last Date to Apply: 6 March, 2018
Date of Exam (Prelims): 3 June, 2018
IFS Main Exam: 2 December, 2018

IFS 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Bachelors degree with at least one of the subjects - Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering.

Age:

Your age must be between 21 years 32 years on 1st August of the year of exam.
Upper age limit is relaxable in some cases.

After written examination, interview for personality test will be of 300 marks.
