Indian Forest Service Exam Eligibility

I have completed my graduation with the commerce stream can you please tell me that am I eligible for Indian Forest Service or not ?

Sorry to say but a commerce stream candidate is not eligible for applying Indian Forest Service Exam.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:
A candidate must be a citizen of India.

If a candidate is a subject of Nepal, or Bhutan is also eligible for that.

A Tibetan refugee candidate who is living in India before 1st January, 1962 is also eligible.

Age Limit:
A candidate must have minimum 21 years age.
Maximum age is 32 years.

Upper Age Relaxations:
For SC, ST’S candidates – 5 years
For OBC candidates – 3 years

Educational Qualification:
An applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from any recognize Universities.

Number of Attempts:
Candidates can attempts this examination only six times.

ST/SC and OBC category candidate can attempts this examination nine times.

Physical Standards:
Applicants must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Indian Forest Service Examination.
