Re: Indian Engineering Services vs IAS
IAS means Indian administrative services, it is non-technical. IES is Indian engineering services, so it is technical. IES (Indian Engineering Services) Conduct for the Engineering Candidate in the Government sector by UPSC union public service commission IAS(Indian Administrative Services) is administrative civil service of the Govt of India. IAS officers are the backbone of Indian Govt. All important daily affairs of the govt are handled by an IAS officer including framing & implementation of policy. Civil Services Exams are conducted for recruitment of IAS officers. Required Qualification to appear for Civil Services Exam -You should have passed Graduation degree in any specialization from recognized Institute. -You are for civil service exam while in graduation final year. -Your Age should be within the limit of 21 to 23 years. -You must be a citizen of India. IES are technical services that meet the technical & managerial functions of the Govt. of India. Only EC, EE, MECHANICAL & CIVIL Engineers are eligible to apply. In IAS you have administrative power but in IES you get power in technical field. |
