The Indian Council Of Medical Research JRF Examination is the first step in the process of admission to the Ph.D/ Research Programme through council's support.

Test for ICMR JRF fellowship are conducted at the 12 centres viz. Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Srinagar and Varanasi once a year.

The Indian Council of Medical Research in collaboration with Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh will hold a National Level Exam for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), for Indian National candidates at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai,Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Srinagar (J&K) and Varanasi on Sunday, 22nd July 2018

Eligibility Criteria
M.Sc./M.A. or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC candidates and 50% for the SC/ST & Physically Handicapped candidates in the subjects mentioned under the head method of selection.

Age Limit
The age limit for admission to the eligibility test is 28 years

Selection Process:

The test will consist of one paper of two hours duration
The paper will consist of two Sections
The Aptitude Section (Section A) will have 50 questions on
Scientific phenomenon in everyday life;
General knowledge in sciences; and
Common statistics

Application Fee:
General and OBC applicants: Rs.1000/-
SC, ST, and PD applicants: Rs.800/-

Date of opening of Registration: 12th April 2018
Last date for filling of online application: 15th May 2018
ICMR JRF 2018 Admit Card: 01st week of July 2018
Date of Entrance Examination: 02nd week of July 2018
ICMR JRF 2018 Result: 02nd week of August 2018
