Can a girl join Indian Army after Graduating in Arts at an age of 21 years as I want to make my career in it?

For getting into Indian Army after Graduating you need to clear CDS (Common Defense Service) exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

The eligibility criteria for joining Indian Army are same for Male and Female.

A candidate should have completed their graduation with at least 50% from recognized Universities

Have citizenship of India

Age Limit:

For Indian Military Academy : 19-24 Years
For Air Force Academy : 19-23 Years
For Naval Academy : 19-22 Years
For Officers’ Training Academy :19-25 Years.

Educational Qualification:-

1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

2. For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( with Physics or Mathematics ) for NCC entry.

3. For Air Force Academy : Degree of recognized University ( with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level ) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Selection Process:
1. CDS entrance exam
2. Interview
3. Physical and medical test etc
