Re: Indian Army after Graduation

One can join after school or after Graduation through a number of ways in which one can get admission in the Army. The minimum marks requirement depends on the post you are applying for. Here I am uploading a PDF attachment which has details regarding that:

Indian Army Eligibility

Types of Commission
The Army offers both permanent and short service commission. Permanent commission (PC) is granted through the Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun and Short Service Commission (SSC) is granted through Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai.

If one opts for ‘PC’ then one is basically looking at a permanent career in the Army, a career till one retires. SSC is for those who wish to serve for a few years.

Permanent

DIRECT ENTRY (Through UPSC)

ENGINEERING GRADUATES - TGC

UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME 10+2 TES

Short Service

TECH (Both men & women)

NCC SPECIAL ENTRY (Both men & women)

Getting through Indian Military Academy (IMA):

Stage 1. Apply in response to the News paper advertisement in Employment News during Mar/Apr & Oct / Nov every year.

Stage 2. Prepare for the Written test and Get through it

Stage 3. Appear for the SSB Interview and Get recommended
