Ground Duty Branch is one of the few branch of Indian Air Force which you can join as an officer.

Eligibility:
Age –
20 to 23 Years for Graduates and 20 to 25 years for Post Graduates
Upper age limit relaxed upto 26 years for Law Graduates (3 Years Course), upto 27 years for CA / ICWA / M Ed / Ph D

Marital Status –
Candidates below the age of 25 years must be Unmarried.

Nationality – Indian

Gender - Both men and women.

Qualification
Graduates with 60% and above marks or Post Graduates with 50% and above marks or an MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration

Paper pattern
The AFCAT 2013 question paper had 100 questions of three marks each.
For three marks for every correct answer and for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted under negative marking.
The total time allotted for the paper was two hours.

Syllabus:

(a) General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.
(b) Verbal Ability in English – Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary.
(c) Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest.
(d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.
