The Indian Air Force is the air arm of the Indian armed forces. It was officially established on 8 October 1932.
Its primary responsibility is to secure Indian airspace and to conduct aerial warfare during a conflict.

Eligibility Conditions to join Indian Air Force -

Age criteria-

Candidates should be born between 01 AUGUST 1994 to
30 NOVEMBER 1997 (both days inclusive).
(b) Upper age limit on date of enrolment is 21 years.

Educational Qualification-

Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / equivalent examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/State Education Boards, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
Passed two year Vocational Course affiliated/recognised by CBSE / State Education Boards/Councils duly recognised at par with 10+2 by AIU with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.

Note-

Boards recognised/affiliated by Council of Boards for Secondary Education (COBSE)
will only be permitted.

Exact aggregate percentage of marks up to first place of decimal for all subjects as mentioned in the Marks Sheet of Intermediate or 10+2/equivalent will be considered
(For example, 49.9% will be treated as 49% only).

I have completed 12th and now want to join Indian Air Force so please tell me what is the qualification required for it?

As you have passed in 12th so you can apply for NDA exam

National Defense Academy (NDA) Exam conducted twice a year by UPSC to recruit candidates in
Army,
Naval and
Air force wings

The exam is conducted in April-May and September – October time frame.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA for Air Force Wing:
Candidate must be passed in 10+2 with physics & mathematics

Students appearing in 12th exam can also apply for entrance exam.

Age limit:
Age should be between 16 ½ - 19 years

Exam Pattern:
Written test is consists of objective type multiple choice questions of
Mathematics (total 300 marks) and
General ability (total 600 marks)

Candidates who qualify written exam will be called for personal Interview conducted by Service selection board and for medical exam.

Selection Procedure:
NDA entrance test is comprised of written exam followed by SSB interview.
