Indian Air Force was founded in 8 October 1932, it is the air arm of the Indian armed forces.


The Indian Air Force is divided into five operational and two functional commands. Each Command is headed by an Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief with the rank of Air Marshal.

Central Air Command (CAC),
Eastern Air Command (EAC),
Southern Air Command (SAC),
South Western Air Command (SWAC),
Western Air Command (WAC),

Functional Commands
Training Command (TC),
Maintenance Command (MC),
