Income Tax Officer after B.Com

Hi I have completed B.Com can I eligible to become an income tax officer?

Yeah definitely you are eligible to become an income tax officer but firstly you have to appear in the Graduate Level Competitive Exam. It is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) every year for filling up the posts in various Ministries/Departments by selecting the candidates for the Main examination.

Here I am providing you the details of this exam.

Eligibility

Degree or equivalent from recognised University.
Final year students or whose result has not been declared are not eligible.

Age must be between 18-27 years.

Nationality: Resident of India, Bhutal, Nepal are eligible.

Medical Eligibility-

Distant Vision (with or without glasses): 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye. Near Vision: 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye.

(i.) Height 152 cms., Weight 48 Kgs (Height relaxable by 2.5 cms. and Weight relaxable by 2 Kgs for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, Kumaon Region and Nagaland Tribals and Members of ST.

(ii.) Physical Test: Walking 1 km in 20 minutes. Cycling 3 Kms in 25 minutes.

The question paper is Objective Type.

Hey, you want to become Income Tax Officer after completing B.Com degree course , you should have to appear and clear SSC CGL exam.

Eligibility for the exam :

Qualification:
Candidate should have Graduation degree in any stream.

AGE:
Minimum 18 years
Maximum 27 years

Age relaxations:
3 years for OBC candidates,
7 years for SC/ST candidates


Physical Standards (Minimum)
Height :157.5cm
Chest :81cm ,fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm
