IITM CGPA calculation

I want to convert the CGPA to percentage of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras so please give me information about its calculation?

As per IITM norms, all CGPAs are converted to Percentages as follows.

If the CGPA is X out of 10, then the corresponding percentage is (X-0.75)*10. CGPAs in scales other than 10, will be linearly scaled to 10 before applying the above conversion formula.

Percentage = 10 CGPA 7:5;

Equivalently, Percentage = 52:5 + 10 (CGPA 6)
