Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur provides Joint M.Tech./MCP‐ Ph.D. program.

The Joint M.Tech./MCP‐ Ph.D. program is open to applicants of all categories with Bachelor's Degree in Technology/Engineering/ Architecture/M.Sc or AMIE and must have valid GATE score.

NET Qualified applicants with fellowship having M.A or M.Sc Degree in Sociology, Economics, or Geography and studied statistics /mathematics at the class 12th or at the graduate level are eligible to be MCP/Ph.D Programme.

Eligibility criteria:

(1) For institutes awarding degree based on aggregate marks secured in qualifying degree:
(a) SC/ST/PwD: Min. of 55% marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale)

(b) GE/OBC: Min. of 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale)

(2) For institutes awarding degree based on aggregate marks secured in the final two semesters:

(a) SC/ST/PwD: Min. of 55% marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale).

(b) GE/OBC: Min. of 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale)
