The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay was established in 1958. It is located in Powai, Mumbai, India.

The Student Activity Center (SAC) of this Institute was established in 1980, along with the swimming pool.

The IIT Swimming club started in 1983.

It is affiliated to the Greater Mumbai Amateur Aquatic Association (GMAAA).

The club has a 50mX25m swimming pool with all the modern facilities.

Various equipment for swimming like kickboards, flippers, pull buoys, pedals are also available.

Baby pool:

Baby pool is for the members who come to the swimming pool for leisure activities.

Water Polo:

They also have all the necessary equipment for water polo training of students.
