Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi (normally known as IIT (BHU), Varanasi) is an open building establishment situated in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 1919 as the Banaras Engineering College, it turned into the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in 1968. It was assigned an Indian Institute of Technology in 2012. IIT (BHU), Varanasi has 13 divisions and three between disciplinary schools.
