I have completed B.com with 57% now want to take admission in MBA in IIT Roorkee, so can you tell me, what is the admission process to get admission in MBA program at IIT Roorkee??

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Department of Management Studies IITR (Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee) is a 4 semester residential regular program spread over two academic years.

The course structure is designed to impart knowledge of the core management concepts and techniques in 1st year which are, thereafter, upgraded to advanced knowledge and practising skills in the areas of specialization opted for by the students in the final year.

The Department offers dual specialization in any two of the following:
i. Marketing
ii. Finance
iii. Information Technology
iv. Operations
v. Human Resource management


Eligibility

WHO CAN APPLY
Graduates or a professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by UGC, in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD[Differently Abled]).

The percentage will be considered on the basis of aggregate marks/CGPA (of all the years/ semesters) awarded in qualifying degree exam.

Final year students are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, provided they complete all requirements for the qualifying degree with minimum percentage and CGPA or its equivalent by the specified date.

Any Indian national with a valid score in the Common Admission Test (CAT)


EXEMPTIONS
Short listing criteria also have the following exemptions:
There will a relaxation of 10 percentiles for female candidates across all categories for initial short listing (For WAT and PI calls).

JEE qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA between 7 & above, but less than 8 (7≥ <8) will be exempted from CAT and will be directly be called for WAT/PI.
JEE qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA 8 and above will be given direct admission.
