I recently took admission in IIT Bombay and from here doing engineering degree searching for some details about this institute mess. Will you provide basic details along with timings of IIT Bombay Mess along with Guest charge and Food Timing also provide dos and donts of mess?

Mess details:

Hostel one mess is one of best mess in IIT Bombay and is famous for its 365 days-running mess in IIT. Food in hostel one mess is blend of a North and South Indian cuisines

Mess Timings

Break Fast 7:45 am - 9:45 am
8:00 am - 10:00 am (Sunday)
Lunch 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Tiffin 4:40 pm - 6:15 pm
Dinner 7:45 pm - 9:45 pm

Guest charge and Food Timing are as follows:

Do's:

1. Take chapati in Queue,
2. Follow the queue while keeping plate at window of washing room
3. Take care while keeping bowls, spoons and glass in right place. (It should not found in food wastage dust bin.)]
4. Think also of other inmates while taking items e.g. Paratha. (At a time take one Paratha only. You should restrict yourself to two Paratha upto 9:30 am)

Don'ts:
5. Don't take sweets/items more than prescribed in mess working time.
e.g.
- You should take Max. Two wada-pav up to 6 pm in tiffin.
- Take Custard only one bowl. Don't take in glass.
6. Don't use "JUG" for drinking water. Use glass for same.
7. Don't take plate without writing GUEST in Register.
