CDEEP stands for Centre for Distance Engineering Education Programme
CDEEP is mainly involved in free transmission of educational courses conducted in IIT Bombay via internet.

The courses offered through CDEEP are taught by IIT Bombay faculty for IIT Bombay students. These lectures are transmitted live from IIT Bombay classrooms. One course consists of around 40 hours of lectures.

I would like to know a brief about the modes of learning offered by the Centre for Distance Engineering Education Programme?

CDEEP provides recorded courses to outside students, working professional, reasearchist etc to avail IIT Bombay's courses. Individuals can register online for this. After registration the registered individual will get the recorded course(s) which are available by video streaming.

Modes of Participation for courses offered by CDEEP:

1) Live Classroom
This is the necessary free service available for all institutes that are recipients of live courses.
It has the following features:
The institute can accept live lectures from IIT Bombay.
Participants can interrelate live with the IIT Bombay instructors during the lectures.
Recording of lectures is not allowed in this mode.

2) Extended Live Classroom
This package extends the Live Classroom and is obtainable only for CDEEP’s Remote Centres.
It has the following features:
The Remote Centre can accept live lectures from IIT Bombay.
The participants can network live with IIT Bombay instructors during the lectures.
The Remote Centre can record the lectures and re-use them for in-house purposes.
The Remote Centre will get a official document that it participated in the Extended Live Classroom.
