IIT Bombay conducts Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) to provide admission into B.Des course . Eligibility Criteria Applicants must have obtained a bachelor’s degree. • Number of Attempts: Applicants can attend UCEED for a maximum of two consecutive years • Class XII (or Equivalent) Examination: Applicants must have passed Class XII or equivalent exam. •The registration for UCEED is completely online Exam Pattern • UCEED is a computer based test , constitutes total 100 questions, accounting to a total of 300 marks. • The exam duration is three hours and the medium of instruction is English. • The question paper consists of MCQ, Multiple MSQ and numerical answer type questions. • All the questions are based following six design related topics 1. Observation and Design Sensitivity 2. Visualization and Spatial Ability 3. Environmental and Social Awareness 4. Analytical and Logical Reasoning 5. Language and Creativity 6. Design Thinking and Problem Solving As the last date to apply is over , please try next year . Important Dates Online Registration was begin from 10/04/2015 to 25/04/2015 Exam Date was 31/05/2015 Results 10/06/2015 |

Industrial Design Centre (IDC) at IIT Bombay established Master of Design degree (M.Des) programme in various sectors. From 2015 onwards the Instiute also offers B.Des program to the students. About the B.Des Program From the year 2015 onwards , IDC offers a four year, eight semester Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme. The institute also offerd a five year, ten semester dual degree B.Des + M.Des programme. But the option of doing the dual degree, B .Des + M.Des will be available only at the end of the 3rd year. A minimum level of performance is essential for satisfactory progress. The medium of instruction is English. Students admitted to the B.Des programme will not be eligible for branch change to any other undergraduate programmes. Specialisations of M.Des Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Animation Design, Interaction Design & Mobility and Vehicle Design Ph.D programme in Design IDC provides a conducive environment for research, academics and collaborative projects.
