IIT Madras PhD Application

Hello sir I want to do PhD from IIT Madras so can you tell me what is the eligibility criteria required for filling the application form of PhD in Engineering ????

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras or IIT-M is an autonomous public engineering and research institution located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is recognised as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.

Here is the eligibility criteria required for taking admission for PhD in IIT in different field which also include engineering :

For Phd in Engineering :
M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc with valid GATE score or CSIR/UGC NET/ NBHM or equivalent IIT B.Tech with minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10 point scale with GATE score.

For Phd in Sciences :
M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc with valid GATE or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or equivalent IIT M.Sc with 8.0 CGPA can be admitted directly to Ph.D in sciences,

For Phd in Humanities & Social Sciences :
Masters degree with valid GATE or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or equivalent

For Phd in Management :
Masters degree/PG Diploma/Associateship/Integrated Masters degree with CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/GATE /UGC/CSIR (NET, JRF, Lectureship)/GMAT/GRE or At least 5 years of managerial experience in lieu of the above examination.
