IIT Madras Library Iportal

IIT Madras offers Iportal to access the liberary facility of the institute . Will you please tell how I can access the e books from the Central Library of the IIT Madras by using I portal . Is there any requirement of the student id and password .

The Central Library is housed in a separate building and caters to the information needs of the institute faculty, students, staff, research institutions & industries. In addition, there are smaller libraries in each department, which house books borrowed from the main library for quick reference. It has around 2 million books covering all discipline

The Central library currently subscribes to around 1,000 scholarly journals in sciences, engineering and humanities.

The library working hours are from 9 A.M. to 11 P.M. on weekdays and 9 A.M. to 5.30 P.M. on Saturdays, Sundays & holidays. It is closed for 7 days in a year as per the institute's list of holidays.
