IIT JEE Number of Attempts
Hello sir I am Himanshi and I am here as I want to know how many number of attempts can a Candidate give IIT JEE main Exam so will you please tell me about this to me??

Hey Himanshi!!!! IIT JEE Main is conducted to offer admissions to the candidates in undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology) and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs) located across the country. Earlier only two attempts were allowed to clear the exam, but now according to the new official notification, the number of attempts has been increased to three Eligibility Criteria -Age limit The date of birth of candidate must be on or after October 1, 1991 for appearing for 2016 For SC, ST, PwD candidates the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years. DOB as given in the Secondary Education Board / University certificate is considered. Academic Qualification: Candidate should have cleared 12th from Science Maths Stream Exam Pattern JEE (Main) have two papers. . JEE Main Paper 1 is for BE / B.Tech, Paper 2 is for B.Arch . B.Planning. Both the papers are of 3 hours duration each. Engineering aspirants must attempt Paper 1 and Architecture aspirants can go for Paper 2. Paper 1 has objective type with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Paper 2 has objective type questions for Mathematics (Part I) and Aptitude Test (Part II). Questions to test drawing aptitude are asked for Drawing Test (Part III) Paper 1 Subject Questions Marks Physics 30 120 Chemistry 30 120 Mathematics 30 120 Total 90 360 Paper 2 Subject Questions Marks Part I – Mathematics 30 120 Part II – Aptitude Test 50 200 Part III – Drawing 2 70 Total 82 390 |
