Yes IIT mandi has published a notification of Part-time MS and PhD Admissions (For College/University Faculty members from Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir only), its opportunity for college/university Faculty members to earn a research degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) on part- time basis while continuing to work in their respective college/university ,

List of disciplines are as follows:
Computer Science Engineering,
Electrical Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering,
Material Sciences,
Physics,
Chemistry,
Mathematics,
Life Sciences,
Humanities and Social sciences.

Eligibility
For Master of Science (by research) in Engineering
You must have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or Masters degree in appropriate Sciences with valid score in GATE/NET or equivalent national level examination or GRE in appropriate discipline.

For Ph.D. in Engineering
You must have Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record or a Master’s degree by Research in Engineering/ Technology disciplines, with a good academic record.
