Eligibility for IIT JAM is specified below:
The candidates must have passed the Bachelor's degree in the subject worried or related subjects, in which they are seeking admission.

JAM qualified candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admissions in IITs:
Candidates must have protected at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries in all years combined) in the qualifying degree.
There is a relaxation of 5% of marks in case of SC/ST/PD category candidates.

At the time of admission, all admitted candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed form.

IIT Joint Admission Test is being conducted for admission in to the M. sc courses. This test is conducted by following institutes:

IIT Madras (IITM)
IIT Roorkee (IITR)

The applicant should have At least 55% aggregate marks for General/OBC category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PD category candidates in the qualifying degree.
