Hello sir please provide me details of the Project for Future Researchers at IITH to Enhance Network Development with Scholarship of Japan (FRIENDSHIP) for Ph.D./Master + Ph.D. Scholarship in Japan via JICA FRIENDSHIP Project for FY 2014 (Third Batch) of IIT Hyderabad??

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) launched the project for Future Researchers at IITH to Enhance Network Development with Scholarship of Japan (FRIENDSHIP) based on agreement between Government of Japan and Government of India. The project aims to promote the academic interaction between IITH and Japanese universities. As an activity, the project offers scholarship for IITH graduates or expected graduates of IITH to study for Ph.D. / Master + Ph.D. degree in 9 leading Japanese universities. Availability of the scholarship This scholarship is available for those who start to study in Japan in FY2013 and FY2014. The term of scholarship is 3 years for Ph.D. and 2 years for Master. Scholarship recipients for Master are assumed to continue to study for Ph.D. for more 3 years at same laboratory. Number Available About 10 - 15 for FY 2013 About 30 for 3 year (FY2012, FY2013 and FY2014) Qualifications 1) Nationality: Citizens of India; 2) Age: Between 20 and 30 years old as of April 1 in the year of the participant’s arrival in Japan in principle 3) Military personnel are NOT allowed to apply; 4) Applicants must have a clear understanding of the overall goal of the Project; 5) Applicants must NOT be those who will receive another scholarship through other foreign assistance at the same time; 6) Health condition: mentally and physically in sound; 7) English proficiency: to have a good command of English to a level sufficient for study in Japan; and 8) Graduates or expected graduates of the department of engineering or science at IITH only. 9) Scholarship is only available for the students applying for Engineering/ Science programs/courses in designated Japanese universities. |
