I have come to know from my cousin who is studying at IIT Gandhinagar that IIT Gandhinagar issued a job notification for the Faculty Recruitment . What is the procedure to apply for the Faculty Recruitment at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar ?

I got information about vacancy in IIT Gandhinagar for the post of Faculty. I am thinking to apply for it but don’t have any information related to eligibility. So someone is here who will tell me about eligibility criteria for faculty vacancy of IIT Gandhinagar?

The IIT Gandhinagar was established in 2008.

This Institute is one of top Engineering Institutions in India.

Although I am giving information about eligibility for faculty position for your reference:

Educational Qualification:
Must have First Class Ph.D or Doctoral Degree in relevant Research subject.

Experience Required:
For Professor:
10 years teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent.

Associate Professor:
6 years teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.

Assistant Professor (Grade I):
3 years teaching/research/industrial experience post-PhD.

Assistant Professor (Grade II):
For a fresh Ph.D. the position will be on contract basis for first three years the completion of which it can be regularized

Pay Scale:
Professor:
Pay level 14A (Rs.1,59,100 Rs. 2,20,200)

Associate Professor:
Pay level 13A2 (Rs.1,39,600 Rs. 2,11,300)

Assistant Professor (Grade I):
Pay level 12 (Rs.1,01,500 Rs. 1,67,400)

Assistant Professor (Grade II):
Pay level 10-11 (Rs.70,900 Rs. 1,17,200)
