The initiative for providing 50% subsidized membership for new students joining IEEE MTT-S in 2010 as well as setting up scholarships for students/faculty who there papers at IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium, EuMW, and APMC.

MTT-S is a technical society comprised of more than 11,000 members universal.

The core purpose of the society is to foster the advancement and application of RF and microwave theory and techniques.

Members of MTT-S are engaged in research, devices, circuits, components, or systems.

Prof Koul received the highest recruiter award in Region 10, having recruited 256 new student members and 162 new full MTTS-S members.
