The placements of batch 2013-2015 in Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology - Madras, put back the trust of recruiters in quality and talent in DoMS. Students were offered various coveted roles in Supply chain, Analytics, Operations, Consultancy, and Marketing. Past recruiters like Amazon, Citi Group, Wipro, Cisco, Avalon, McKinsey, Dell, RBS, JP Morgan Chase, Syntel, ICICI, Cognizant, Sutherland, Infosys, HSBC, Analytics Quotient, and TCS had further strengthened their bond with the department by taking a good number of students in their fold. It has also seen a huge enthusiasm in new entrants of recruiters such as Ola Cabs, Titan, PwC, Carwale, and IDFC this season. It achieved 100% placements of the diverse and highly talented batch of 2015. Out of the 71 students in the batch, two students got placed off campus and one student opted out of the placement process. Industry Details Banking, Financial Services and Insurance About 24% of the students got placed in the BFSI sector. The major companies were Citi Bank, RBS, JP Morgan, ICICI, HSBC and IDFC offering profiles for Marketing, Finance, Operations and Analytics. IT&ITES IT&ITES took around 37% of the students. Infosys, Wipro, Dell, Cognizant, Syntel and Sutherland were the key recruiters in this sector. Some of the profiles offered were Analytics, Management Associate, Consultancy, Supply Chain Management, IT Operations and Sales Consultants. Management Consulting 10% of the students got job offers in the Management Consulting sector. Avalon, PwC and McKinsey dominated this area offering roles like Management Consultancy , Finance and Analytics. E-Commerce/ Internet Amazon and Carwale took 10% of the students offering jobs in Operations, Marketing, and Analytics. Others Other companies who visited the campus were in the domain of Analytics, Service Sector, Manufacturing and Consumer Goods. Major companies included were Cisco, Ola cabs, Titan, and Analytics Quotient. They offered roles in Finance and other Functional Domains |
