Re: IIT Bombay Social Science Department

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences was established in 1958. At present, the Department has five orders, to be specific, Economics, English, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology and a Cell called Cell for Indian Science and Technology in Sanskrit (CISTS).

The department offers a wide range of courses at the B.Tech , M.Tech, M.phil and Ph. D. levels. The college classes taught by the Department personnel point at making the science and innovation understudies mindful of the different issues concerning man and society.

They are intended to sharpen understudies to the more extensive social, social, financial, moral and altruistic issues included in social change. The courses at the PG level are progressed. These courses go for developing basic personality and diagnostic capacities. The division has amazing open doors and offices for the quest for innovative work.

Educating Methodology

The technique for educating and preparing incorporate addresses, instructional exercises, subjective and quantitative strategies, case considers, exchange sessions, courses, field visits, smaller than expected ventures and papers. Varying media helps are likewise utilized as a part of educating and preparing.
