IIT Bombay Robotics Lab
I have got admission in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) , Bombay by IIT JEE Entrance Exam . As I have interest in Robotics that’s why I will choose Robotics Branch for my career . What are the Research Projects done by the Robotics Lab in IIT Bombay? Share the details of the upcoming workshops also so I can attend them at Robotics Lab in IIT Bombay?

Re: IIT Bombay Robotics Lab
Robotics has come a long way since the development of the first multi-jointed artificial arm by American inventor George Devol Jr in 1954. Robot developed at IIT Bombay IIT Bombay has developed three kinds of robotic systems. One of these is NATARAJ—the six-legged walking robot. It has been developed in the Robotics laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering Department. It has been designed to negotiate uneven terrains and perform special tasks in hazardous areas. Another robotic system is ready for commercialization is the low cost motorized arm developed for amputees (see section on “Innovation for the People”). The development of KADET, the unmanned flying vehicle by the Centre for Aerospace Systems Design and Engineering (CASDE) Higher Level Control areas: Vision-based automated robot programming, motion estimation and tracking, visual map pre-fetching for rapid detection of obstacles • Neural networks, machine learning, knowledge representation and natural language processing • Tools and high level abstractions for robot programming • Path planning and navigation • Cooperative robotics • Real time systems Techfest For Robotics Yantriki—the robotics event at IIT Bombay It provides a platform for design and innovation of robots. Robotics is important also from the national perspectives of disaster management and medical applications. |

Re: IIT Bombay Robotics Lab
The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is a public engineering institution located in Powai, Mumbai, India In the QS World University Rankings 2014, IIT Bombay was ranked as India’s top university. Robotics has come a long way since the development of the first multi-jointed artificial arm by American inventor George Devol Jr in 1954 Well the IITM Bombay has a Robotic club rather than just a Lab so I am givng you the details for the same Robotics Club The Robotics Club of IIT Bombay is a community of students who derive pleasure in creating robots that may even be potent to work without human intervention. Each member of this family is provided insight into mechanical, basic electronic, monetary and informatory Workings of the the Robotics Club Vision-based automated robot programming, motion estimation and tracking, visual map pre-fetching for rapid detection of obstacles.
