Eligibility Criteria

a) Masters Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent degree, with First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST)
Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology with First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST)
b) Masters degree in Science or equivalent degree, with First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST)
c) Masters degree in Arts/Commerce or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST), only for admission to the PhD programmes offered by the Industrial Design Centre and Department of Humanities & Social Sciences


Teaching Assistantship
For Students under Teaching Assistantship (TA) category the teaching assistantship () is for maximum duration of 5 years or up to the thesis submission, whichever is earlier. The monthly rate of assistant ship is Rs.25000/ for first two years and enhanced rate of Rs.28000/ for the remaining period.
