Well the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is a public engineering and research institution located in Powai, Mumbai, India.

Aakash project at IIT Bombay is dedicated to the development of useful applications and contents for use with Aakash.

The main focus is on developing useful Open Source applications and content for use on Aakash.

These shall encompass the entire educational spectrum from schools to colleges, and from vocational training to professional studies

It attempts to empower teachers by using a unique blend of technology, e-contents, and an innovative pedagogy.

This project is on engineering education, it is proposed to use the creative talent of these professional students and teachers,

To develop applications and contents for all levels of education, including school education in Indian languages.

These shall contain the entire educational spectrum from schools to colleges, and from vocational training to professional studies.

Goal is to complete useful development of engineering colleges,
