Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi (curtailed IIT (BHU), Varanasi or essentially IIT (BHU)) is an open building foundation situated in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 1919 as the Banaras Engineering College, it turned into the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in 1968.
