IISC ECE Interview
I am interested in doing the Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical communication engineering Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India for that I have to appear in the interview round of it so please give me some information of it?

Candidates planned area of research, are examined on their analytical ability by asked questions in at least 2 of the following areas of mathematics Real Analysis and Differential Equations Matrix Analysis, Linear Algebra Fourier, Laplace, z-Transforms Probability Theory and Random Processes Discrete Mathematics (combinatorics, graphs). The Department is Among the top ECE Departments in the country and has faculty members who have a rich academic and industry experience from leading universities and leading companies of the world. Candidates would have Received a letter from our Admissions office Inviting you for an Interview at IISc for Admission Research Program. Each Candidate is asked to Indicate on a Check-List, (sample check-list attached) one or two proposed research areas of his/her interest. All candidates, , are examined on their analytical ability by being asked questions in at least 2 of the following areas of mathematics Real Analysis and Differential Equations Matrix Analysis, Linear Algebra Fourier, Laplace, z-Transforms Probability Theory and Random Processes Discrete Mathematics (Combinatory, Graphs) Such Questioning could last 10 to 15 minutes. Following satisfactory performance in this part of the interview the candidate will be asked questions in the proposed area of research or any related area. These Questions will be from topics of Post-Graduate Study (for Ph.D.). The nature of the Questions will be to Explore the student’s clarity of thinking and deeper understanding of the topics, rather than descriptive system level knowledge.
