The Department of English of IIS (Deemed to be University), established in 1995, offers B.A. (Pass Course and Honours) at the Undergraduate level and M.A., M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes at the Postgraduate level.


The programs offer motivated students an unrivalled flexibility of inquiry across subject-areas of faculty-expertise which include 19th and 20th Century American Literature and Culture, World Classics, British Romanticism, Post-Colonial Literatures, Women’s Writing, Early Modern Studies, Modern/Post-Modern Fiction and Indian Writing in English.
