Yes every interested candidates are should be entered with some month work experience at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

Candidates should have Relevant work experience is also given weightage. Evaluation by multiple criteria is also consistent with empirical research on recruitment and selection that shows greater efficacy of recruitment processes that uses multiple criteria.

Eligibility:
Bachelor's degree (minimum 50%) in any discipline as per the 10+2+3 norms.

Minimum 4 years work experience in any industry after the degree.

CAT/GRE/GMAT for candidates between 4 to 6 years of work experience and IIMB test for candidates with more than 6 years of work experience but do not have CAT/GRE/GMAT scores, followed by company approval form and written analytical test and personal interview.

Pre PI score for Work Experience = 8x/36 if 0 < x < 36 OR = 8 if x >= 36.

Where x is the months of work experience up to July, as captured in CAT application form (and substantiated in the application to IIMB).

This implies that the score will peak at 36 months work experience and will remain at that level for candidates with work experience exceeding 36 months.

The work experience score (maximum 8 in the pre-PI stage) will be multiplied by the quality of work experience score on a 5 point scale (0.25 – 0.5 – 1 – 1.5 – 2) as given by interviewers in the PI process in Phase 2 to then arrive at a weighted work experience score.
