The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is a full time, residential doctoral programme of the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIMT). It is globally recognized and is a premier source of rigorous and inter-disciplinary research in all areas of business management. It is committed to training individuals who will excel in the areas of research through creation of quality knowledge of international standard.

Eligibility

One must possess one of the following qualifications after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent to apply for IIMTs Doctoral Programme:

1. Master Degree in Management, with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade point average, with Bachelor degree/equivalent qualification with minimum 50% marks obtained after a minimum of 3 years education.
2. Master Degree in any discipline, with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade point average, with a Bachelors degree/equivalent qualification with minimum 50% marks obtained after a minimum of 3 years education.
3. 5 year/4 year Integrated Master Degree Programme in any discipline, with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade point average
4. A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS
5. A 4-year/8-semester Bachelors degree with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade point average

One meeting the eligibility criteria described in points 2 to 5 must have a strong management orientation, which they should demonstrate through their managerial work experience or through their aptitude in understanding managerial issues.

AND

One must have a score of CAT or GMAT or GATE or GRE or UGC-JRF as applicable.
Validity of score: 2 years from the date of the test and valid as on date of submission of the FPM application.

Selection

Shortlisted candidates will be called to Tiruchirappalli for an interview with their respective area panels. One further shortlisted in the area interview is interviewed by an FPM panel (consisting of representatives from all areas).

The FPM panel make the final admission offers. Selection is based on ones performance in CAT/GMAT/GATE/ GRE/UGC-JRF as applicable, past academic performance, work experience, aptitude for research and performance in the interviews.

To and fro travel expenses between the railways station at the place of residence and Tiruchirappalli, limited to III AC train fare, is reimbursed by the Institute. One needs to make own arrangements for food and stay for attending the interview.
