The Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM-R) may relocate to its own campus in Naya Raipur.

The institute is functional from its temporary campus in GEC Campus, Sejbahar Raipur.

According to the reports, Chhattisgarh government has allotted 80.92 hectares of land in Pota and Cheria villages to IIM-R for the establishment of a permanent campus.

The new capital region would also have a university area which will be built in an area of 411.5 hectares.

Naya Raipur is one of the five cities across the country were chosen as demonstration cities by the Centre for their project Sustainable Urban Transport Project (SUTP).

The project will have an IT-enabled system to manage a host of utilities by using state-of-art technology.
