Can you provide me the eligibility requirement for admission in Integrated B. Tech. (IT) and M. Tech (IT) Program offered by International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B)?

The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B) was established in 1999 with a vision to contribute to the IT world by focusing on education and research, entrepreneurship and innovation. It is an exclusive graduate school that offers programs that lead to post-graduate degrees.

B. Tech. (IT) and M. Tech (IT) Program

Eligibility
One should have done 10+2 or equivalent level with Mathematics and must have obtained first class or equivalent.

Admission Process
Admission is on the basis of the rank obtained IITJEE (Indian Institute of Technology Joint Engineering Exam).

Selection for offering admission to the program will be made as per the appropriate administrative processes as defined by the institute.

Dual Degree Program Curriculum Structure

Learning takes place through different types of courses and research projects. Student achievement in different learning tasks is assessed though a process of tests, exams, term papers, seminar presentations, etc. The institute has a well-defined grading system in place.

Streams
Streams indicate areas of specialization. Choice of stream enables students interested in particular areas to choose several courses in the stream of their choice.

List of Streams
There will be two streams which will be an umbrella of focus areas. Following are the streams with their focus areas:

CSIS (Computer Science and Information Systems) stream
– Computer Science,
– Database and Information Systems,
– Information Technology and Society,
– Software Engineering.

E&CE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) stream
– Embedded System Design,
– Information Technology and Society,
– Networking and Communication Systems,
– Signal Processing.

The student strength for each stream will be capped a stream cannot have more than 50% of the students enrolled for the year in it, thus ensuring that both streams are equally loaded.
