I am doing any coaching for the IIFT entrance exam. Please give me some tips and tricks to get the good rank in the exam? Your instructions will help in my self studies of the IIFT entrance exam. And also give me the some short cuts to solve the questions?

Some good tips for preparation of Entrance Examination of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) are as follows: Check the IIFT syllabus Get hold of the right study material and IIFT preparation books Join a coaching institute or online study group Download previous years’ IIFT question papers and online mock test for practice Read newspapers, current affairs magazines and watch business news. Practice sample questions and revise theorems regularly Always clear your concepts and then only go ahead with next chapter Brush up your GK Work on your Speed Expand your Vocabulary Know the IIFT Exam Pattern Time management is the key Focus on revision of core concepts IIFT Syllabus Data Interpretation – Bar Graph, Line Graph, Pie Chart, Table, Caselets etc Logical Ability – Comparisons, Deductions, Coding-Decoding, Series & Analysis, Input & Output, Directions, Seating, Selections etc English Language – This section covers the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension sections. The topics covered in these sections are Grammar, Preposition, Phrases, Analogy, Matching word meanings, Synonyms-Antonyms, Reading Passages, etc. Quantitative Ability – Number, Geometry, Mensuration, Logarithms, ERPV, PPL, Probability, Permutation & Combination etc General Awareness – Politics, Business, Society, Economics, Banking, History, Films, etc. Reading Comprehension – Passages, and paragraphs generally on current affairs topics IIFT Exam Pattern The exam will have objective type multiple-choice questions. The language of the paper is English only. IIFT Syllabus is based on 6 sections – General Knowledge & Current Awareness, Quantitative Analysis, English Grammar, Vocabulary & Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and Data Interpretation. The total duration of IIFT exam is two hours and the maximum marks are 100. The number of questions and marks in each section is not defined. There is no sectional timing; however, candidates have to clear sectional cut off. There is negative marking applicable in IIFT exam. 1/3rd of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. |
