Hostel Details
The safety and security of the Hostlers is our prime concern and we value a certain code of conduct amongst hostlers to inculcate a sense of responsibility and belonging to the Institute. Therefore, the following rules and regulations have been framed for the hostlers.
1. On arrival a student will report to the Warden and will take possession of the room after signing the inventory of the furniture, electrical and other items in the room.
2. At the end of each semester a student shall vacate his/her room within three days after the final examination of the course is over and hand over the charge of the room including all items on the inventory to the Caretaker-or-any other official of the hostel authorized by the Warden.
3. Any act of intimidation or violence, willful damage to property or drunken and riotous behavior constitutes an offence.
4. Use of narcotics, consumption of alcoholic beverages and gambling are strictly prohibited.
5. Use of audio equipment in hostels is acceptable only if it is not objectionable to other residents.
6. Day scholars & guest are not allowed in the hostel.
7. The Hostel dues shall be paid as per the directives of the management.
8. Students are not allowed to be outside the hostel after 9.00 p.m. for any reason without specific and prior approval of Warden and making proper entries in the register.
9. Smoking is not allowed in the hostel complex at anytime.
10. Use of any unauthorized electrical gadgets is not permitted in the rooms. Any tempering with electrical fixtures will be treated as will full damage to the Hostel property. Necessary action will be taken as decided by the Hostel advisory Committee.
11. All hostlers shall be responsible for the furniture and fittings of the rooms allotted to them and in case of any loss or damage to the furniture, deduction will be made from the hostel security deposit.
12. Hostlers are responsible for keeping their rooms and the common areas in the hostel such as visitor’s area, bathrooms, stair case, and common room etc clean and tidy at all times.
13. All fans, lights and electrical appliances must be switched off when not in use.
14. Cooking, making tea etc is not allowed in the hostel.
15. Common hostel furniture must not be moved without the permission of the accommodation officer.
16. Pasting of posters, writing on walls, slogans of any kind or defacing the hostel in any form is not allowed.
17. The hostel management reserves the right to make spot checks without having to give prior notice to the students.
18. Hostlers are advised to lock all doors at all times for security reasons.
19. The hostel management is not responsible for any loss of private property. Hostlers are strongly advised to lock all your valuable e.g. mobile phones, laptop, watches, money etc at all times.
20. Hostlers are not permitted to change rooms or sleep anywhere other than in their own room.
21. Pets are not allowed in the hostel complex.
22. The hostel management reserves the right to revise the rules and regulations from time to time and will keep the hostler informed of any changes in the form of notices on the hostel notice boards. Ignorance of rules will not be accepted as an excuse.
23. Hostlers are not allowed to keep vehicles.
24. Hostlers are not permitted to undertake any part–time job or join part time courses unless with approval of Hostel Warden.
25. Hostlers have to maintain 90% attendance in the classes.
26. Shouting, calling out, whistling and singing aloud will not be tolerated.
27. Ragging is strictly prohibited.
28. Hostlers shall not play any game in the lawns in front of the hostel.
29. A student parents may be allowed to visit a student in his room with the permission of the Warden.
30. In case of prolong illness the local guardian shall be responsible to take care of the ward and take him/ her temporarily from the hostel.

NOTE: – Students in the B.Sc.(HHA) 1st Semester will be provided a triple seater accommodation in the Hostel. The Institute will provide a bed, table, Chair and almirah to the hostler rest of thing has to be brought in by the Student.
