The Indira Gandhi National Open University was established by an Act of Parliament in 1985. The IGNOU is provides seamless education to the people of India transcending the barriers of place, age, caste, pace, creed, and religion.

The IGNOU is admitted candidates for PHD degree.

Applications are accepted by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for Ph.D.

Admission twice in a given year .i.e. in January and July respectively. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for IGNOU Ph.D. Admission.

Apply online in from 23.01.2018 to 16th February 2018

IGNOU Research Entrance Test 2018 Date - 4th March 2018 (Sunday)

Declaration of Result (Tentative) - 6th April 2018

Programme Fee

The PhD Programme Fee is Rs. 7,000/- per annum for 2 years. MPhil candidates are to pay one-time fee of Rs. 10,500/- which is inclusive of the Course Fee.

Individual Disciplines may assign course work for PhD candidates for which additional fee may be charged.

Duration
The maximum durations of the PhD Programme and the MPhil programme are 5 years and 4 years respectively
