The PhD Programme in Nursing offered by IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) was launched enabling the nursing personnel to develop advance research skills in nursing and to prepare the nurse educators, administrators and practitioners to carry out systematic research to improve the quality of nursing care.

The programme will enable the nursing personnel to give evidence-based nursing care to patients/ clients in various settings.
