IGNOU MBA Admission Procedure

I want to do MBA from the IGNOU University but I don’t have any idea about the admission procedure of the university. Please provide me the detailed information about the admission procedure of the University.

following is the MBA admission procedure of IGNOU:

For taking admission in MBA course you have to appear in Entrance exam which conduct by IGNOU called Openmat. This exam is held twice in year. In December and June. For apply to this exam candidate can obtain application form from Regional Center of IGNOU which is available all over in India and have to submit application form before last. After entrance exam selection will be made on the basis of score of entrance exam.

Indra Gandhi National Open University New Delhi, India has invited the applications for MBA Courses through entrance test Open MAT

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have done Graduation with any recognized Bachelors Degree of minimum 3 years duration in any field with at least 55 percent marks of Graduation level.

Admission Procedure
Clearance of Openmat taken by IGNOU.
Appliacnts who have qualified the entrance test taken by the institutions like CAT, MAT, and state level tests need not appear in Openmat.
The minimum cutoff percentage for admission is 40%.

There is no age bar for admission

The University reserves the right to grant/deny admission to any of the applicants

Important Dates:
The last date to apply for admission is 20th January 2014.
IGNOU MBA entrance test is scheduled to be held on Sunday, 23rd Feb 2014.

The Entrance exam i. e. OPENMAT for admission in MBA in Indira Gandhi National Open University for admission in July, 2015 was held on Sunday 15th February 2015 all over the country. But you can apply after 6 months, as it is organized twice a year.

IGNOU MBA Admission 2015 Basic Eligibility

1: Bachelors Degree in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for the Reserved Category)

OR

Professional Degree with 50% marks in:

Engineering/ Medicine/ Chartered Accountancy (ICAI)/ Cost and Works Accountancy (ICWAI)/ Chartered Secretary-ship (ICSI), and Law

2: Clearance of the OPENMAT Entrance Test by IGNOU or any other recognized examinations such as CAT, MAT etc.

3: No age bar for this course.

Admission

The admission for the course will be done on the basis of the OPENMAT examination conducted twice a year. A result card will be sent to each of the candidate who attended the OPENMAT examination. The result card will indicate if the candidate has qualified or not qualified for the course on the basis of the cut off score decided by the university.
