Indira Gandhi National Open University provides MCA course . The duration of the Master of Computer Applications is 3 years.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be Graduation or Equivalent from a recognized University .
Mathematics as one of the subject at 10+2 level or graduation level; else the candidate is required to pursue and pass the BCS-012 course concurrently with IGNOU MCA.

As per my idea IGNOU offers MCA in distance learning and here I am giving you details :-


Eligibility for MCA Program

Any Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 (three) year duration from a recognized University and Mathematics as one of the subject at 10+2 level or graduation level; else the student is required to pursue and pass the BCS12 course concurrently with IGNOU MCA


Fee Structure:

Rs.54000/- for full programme to be paid semester wise @Rs.9000/- per semester.
Non Maths students have to pay Rs.1200/- additional in the first semester

The course covers all the related topics of the study field and gives rigorous training to the students.

It emphasizes on the application of software technology to solve mathematical, computing, communications/networking and commercial problems.

The first year focuses on the skills development in computers using various technologies while the second year is more focused on core courses providing conceptual frame work and the third year provides the specialization and the project work.

1. Bachelor of Computer Science / Applications / Information Science / Information
Technology from a recognised / deemed university

Non-computer Science B.Tech/M.Sc./other graduates (such applicants are required to pursue CIC concurrently with MCA 1st semester)

OR

2. Non-Computer Science B.Tech/M.Sc/other graduates (such applicants are required
to pursue CIC concurrently with MCA 1st semester)

Or

3. Graduate with PGDCA from a recognised / deemed university or its equivalent
course of not less than one year from a State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent body established by the Central/State Government
