The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat or SVNIT is an engineering institute of higher education established by the Parliament of India in 1961.

It is one of 30 National Institutes of Technology in India recognized by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance

IGNIS

IGNIS, in its fifth edition, is SVNIT’s Annual Sports Meet and is one of the biggest in Western India. SVNIT, Surat in the past has hosted several other editions of Inter-NIT Tournaments besides the four Annual meets.

It is filled with the elements of joy, entertainment, celebrations and fun. It is indeed one of the biggest events of its kind.

It promises to be bigger than ever this time around with several informal events being added to the mix.
