IFS Officer Exam
I have completed my PG degree and planning to give the Indian Foreign Service [IFS] Exam want details of this exam. Can you please tell me what the eligibility and scheme of this IFS Officer exam and also tell me lists of Skills Needed for IFS Officer?

The Indian Foreign Service [IFS] is a Central Service in Group A and the premier diplomatic service of our country. Eligibility: Age: You should be between 21 to 30 years of age as on 1 August of the year of examination. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs . Educational Qualifications: You are required to have degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute or university Skills Needed for IFS Officer: . Good communication and inter-personal skills . Interest in international relations, expert in global affairs . Knowledge of your country’s politics, culture and economy . Analytical skills . Diplomatic approach to issues . Decision-making ability . Leadership quality . Physical stamina and poise . Ability to adapt to different environments and cultures (e.g. you might be posted to a mission in a country with limited healthcare facilities) . Loads of patience . The polish and intelligence to be aware and respectful of the host country’s culture Scheme of Exam: Paper I - General English 300 Marks Paper II - General Knowledge 300 Marks Paper III, IV, V & VI - Any two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects set out below.
