IES (Indian Engineering Services) Exam is conducted for the post of engineering in government. Exam is taken mainly for the four branches of engineering- Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Number of attempts for IES exam 7 for OBC are allowed for OBC candidates 4 attempts are allowed for General candidates No limit for SC/ST/others Eligibility for IES Exam Nationality: You must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal / Bhutan or a Tibetian refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Srilanka or east African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India. Age: -Age must be in between 21 – 30yrs till 1st of January of the year of examination -Relaxation is provided to a few candidates of department. Qualification: Must have passed Engineering degree from any recognised university of India or Msc degree from specialised branches |
