Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) at Indian Institute of Technology IIT Bombay offers research based M.Tech., Ph.D. and M.Sc.-Ph.D. dual degree programmes. It is actively involved in research, consulting and continuing education.

It was established as one of the first interdisciplinary programmes in IIT Bombay

IEOR Placements-

IEOR placements have always been very good.

The placement statistics are very encouraging : 10 out of the 13 M.Tech. students who registered for placements have been placed

IEOR students were placed in notable companies such as Capital IQ, HSBC Global Sourcing, Inductis (EXL Services), McKinsey Knowledge Centre, Polaris, Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) and Virtusa.

The job profiles for which the IEOR students were recruited ranged from Business, Decision and Operations Analyst to Consultant and IT.
